It is called Know Your Client (KYC) in the FICA legislation (and I get it, it is intended to prevent fraud etc ...)

We have a similar KYC programme at WMC (in our case, it could be Know Your Church, or Know Your Community). Our hope is that no-one will feel anonymous or unseen on Sundays. It's the reason we make name tags for everyone and invite you to wear them to tea. But it takes a conscious effort from all of us to intentionally seek out new faces. It's completely natural that we are instinctively drawn to familiar faces, but when we make the effort to cross boundaries, strangers become friends and our community grows. I challenge you to try and meet one new person each Sunday. Extroverts can make it two ...

We're also going to start publishing weekly birthdays in our Staying Connected newsletter (just the day and month, not the year ...). Our birthday info is however hopelessly incomplete (and may have some errors) so please be patient with us. If your birthday doesn't appear in the newsletter, it will be because we don't have your full details - please send them to us. It will help us all to Know our Church.
