If you worship here at 09h00 or 18h30 you will know that an important part of the experience is building community over tea and eats (after the morning service or before the evening service). Historically we haven’t been able to offer this at 07h30 – but now a great injustice has been addressed :) and early morning worshippers can help themselves to a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit or scone (or whatever the chef has prepared for that day) before or after the service. Thank you to Ashley for taking the initiative – you can chat to her if you’d like to help.
The advantage of having multiple services is that we can offer different forms of service and different styles of music (so, if you’ve missed singing from the hymn book, come and join us at 07h30!) The drawback of meeting at different times though is that we lose track of the wider congregation – you may even walk right past each in the supermarket and not know that you belong to the same worshipping community :) So, this is advanced notice that on Sunday 27 November we will have only one service (at 09h00) and everyone is invited to come together as we worship together, reflect on the year that has past and share some dreams for 2023. And I’m sure there will be something to eat and drink afterwards ...
