Our Exec met this week and I’d love to share some of the key decisions we made and feedback we received:
1. We are excited to let you know that our 07h30 service will be starting again from Sunday 6 March. This will be a smaller, more contemplative service, with music drawn mostly from the Methodist Hymn Book.
2. Also on 6 March, our children’s church will be restarting at the 09h00 service. Children will be with us for the first part of the service and then go to their separate venue. At the moment, this is focused on primary school children, with our youth meeting at 5pm on Sundays and staying for the evening service (we may well look to offer teen church in the mornings too at a later stage).
3. Late last year we said goodbye to Janet Thomason who had served this community so wonderfully through her pastoral ministry. We miss her! In Janet's absence we want to make sure that pastoral needs are not going unnoticed, so we have set up a small team of carers who are connecting regularly to keep track of how our people are doing and to arrange calls or visits. Please let the office know if you’re aware of a pastoral need so that the caring team can help.
4. This Sunday is our covenant service (with communion) – that very special moment of commitment in response to the amazing grace of God. Come and join us at 09h00, 18h30 or online.
