Our Exec met this week and we reflected on just how hard things have been for so many people in our community recently. We have seen a fantastic response from our congregation when it comes to helping flood victims and the ongoing work of our other relief projects, but as we met we wondered how we might also more effectively support our WMC members. Some of the decisions flowing out of this conversation include:
1. We will be reminding everyone about the prayer team available for prayer on Sundays after services.
2. A preaching series will begin in two weeks time which will focus on how we deal with the storms and crises of life as people of faith.
3. We are making a renewed effort to strengthen our small groups, recognising that these little communities are vital for our own support and spiritual growth and for the health of the church.
