Last Sunday evening our 18h30 congregation met to worship together for the first time in over a year. My lasting memory of that service will always be the palpable sense of joy as people were reunited after such a long time apart. There is also something very powerful that we experience when we return to a beloved physical space after a long time away – like coming back to the place where you grew up, or in this instance, returning to the sanctuary where we have encountered God again and again over the years.

As this fourth wave of Covid subsides, we are seeing more and more people returning to in-person worship, which is wonderful, but if you’re not quite ready to return yet, please join our online congregation for the live-streamed 9am service at [https://live.westvillemethodist.co.za](https://live.westvillemethodist.co.za) (or find the service on our [YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmTB2hjKTwGeooPIj0RA5ag)). If the last two years have taught us anything, it is that we can be together, even while apart!
