On Sunday we read the story of Peter and Cornelius in Acts 10 and reflected on how this was a kind of conversion for Peter – a dramatic shift in his thinking, feeling and doing as a result of God calling him to cross boundaries and reach out to a Gentile family. We recognised that we too are called to cross boundaries in this way, just as Jesus first did for us. If you’re feeling called in this way, feel free to come and visit one of the mission projects hosted on our property and see if you might want to get involved.

In Sunday’s service we also re-introduced a prayer dedicating our financial offerings to God. Somehow this familiar practice has been sidelined by all the changes brought about by the pandemic. This prayer however is an important reminder for us that even if the time and manner of our giving has changed (more and more of our people are now giving electronically via our planned giving programme), these gifts nevertheless remain an act of worship and have a place in our Sunday services. If you would like a planned giving number, please contact the office.

Finally, we were excited to announce last week that our youth are gathering this Sunday at 5pm for the first time in a long while! Please pray for them as relationships are established and the group begins to make plans for the months ahead.
