It’s good to be back home after a lovely, restful couple of weeks away with our family. And encouraging to see how the WMC team has got on with things just fine without me :) (in truth, the real challenge these last few weeks has been managing without Samson, who is due to return from some well-deserved leave this weekend)!
Here are a few things to share with you from our Exec meeting this week:
1. Now that the FoodBank has come to an end, we have said that we would like to launch mission projects that focus on empowering people – giving a hand up rather than a hand out. In this week’s edition of Staying Connected Ashley shares the vision for a new project teaching sewing skills – give her a shout if you’re keen to be involved.
2. It was good to have communion at the rail for the first time in 2 years last weekend. We’d also love to invite people to come forward to the rail for prayer on Sundays. If you’d like to receive prayer, a member of our prayer team will be always available at the communion rail after each service on Sundays.
3. A reminder about the meeting at the church this Wednesday evening at 17h30 to dream and make some plans for WMC. All are welcome – we’d love to hear your thoughts! Please let us know if you’re coming for catering purposes.
