I know it's only a machine, but recently my car has felt so human. A few times, on especially cold mornings, it has stubbornly refused to start. My mechanic says it's how old starter motors often behave in the cold. On such mornings, it looks like there is no life at all in the car, but actually the engine and battery are just fine and all it takes to get going is a little push :)
In the same way, there are days when it feels impossible to get going but, actually all it takes is a little push, a small action, a first step. Or, when chasing after a dream or a goal that seems impossibly out of reach, it's the first small action that gets us moving in the right direction and gives us some momentum to keep going.
I'm having my starter motor looked at on Monday, but it's got me thinking about momentum. Where are you needing an encouraging push right now? What is the first small action that may get you moving?
