I'd love to catch you up on some of the good things that are happening with our youth at WMC:
1. We have a new team leading the youth on Sunday mornings. Dani has been meeting with our youth over the last couple of months and Lloyd has recently joined her. Between the two of them, a programme for the whole term has been developed, which means that on any given Sunday during the school term our youth can count on there being something planned for them. Together the group are dreaming up some new ideas (including exploring a Friday evening programme).
2. We've done some infrastructure upgrades - there is now decent wifi available in the youth room for multimedia teaching and our partnership with Corabrand means that the room has been given a face-lift - re-painted, re-furnished and fitted with a projector and whiteboard. We hope that this work will be (mostly) completed this weekend.
3. Our adult Alpha course starts in a couple of weeks. We are also planning a youth Alpha course as part of our confirmation programme for 2025. We plan to start on 21 September at 5pm in the youth room. The weekly course will run from 5-6pm after which the group will join us in the evening service.
