At our leaders meeting this week we reflected on the picture of the early church in Acts 2:42ff - a community who built relationships by eating together and meeting regularly for worship and prayer. There is something deeply attractive about that picture and it is no surprise to read at the end of that passage that "every day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved."
I love that at WMC, we also make a point of eating together on Sundays! Dedicated teams are working quietly behind the scenes every week to lay on a spread before or after the services. By baking or serving tea, you are building our community because starting a conversation is always easier with a cup of coffee in your hand, isn't it? :)
Our deep hope is that everyone who joins us on a Sunday will know that they belong, will be greeted and welcomed by name and will feel that they have something to contribute to our community. Is there someone you can show hospitality to this Sunday?
