The uptick in morning traffic this week signals that the year has really started now, as schools re-opened. Children are navigating new classes, teachers, or schools, stationery shops have had queues out into the road! and it seems like we are finding our way back into regular weekly rhythms.
It feels that way in the church too - we had our first society stewards meeting of the year this week (and welcomed Anelisa and Felicity to the team). Our Circuit Exec also met for the first time this year, with David coming on as a new circuit steward. Our youth have been making plans for the term (which starts with a "Welcome back" party on Sunday at 4pm) and our children's ministry also gets going again this Sunday. Home groups are re-emerging from the December holidays and we are all system go :)
There are a couple of courses coming up this year for you to take note of - a fantastic Renovare course called "Inside Out" which we will offer during Lent (mornings and evenings) as well as an Alpha course after Easter. We really hope that these will be helpful opportunities for you to connect and grow with us at WMC this year.
