Both South Africa and Zimbabwe stand in need of fervent prayer.
On Sunday 26 November 2017 a National Day Of Prayer will be held in response to the call of many religious leaders and churches. Methodist people are invited by our Presiding Bishop, Ziphozithle Siwa, to join with other South Africans to pray.
Pray privately, pray in churches, stop for a few minutes at 12:00 and pray for South Africa . . .
- Pray for the unity of all South Africans of all races and languages
- Pray for the change of the plight of the unemployed and marginalised
- Pray for a transformed reality of abused children and women
- Pray for God’s guidance and blessings for a better future for all South Africans
In Zimbabwe recent developments have resulted in the release of a statement by the churches of Zimbabwe calling for a number of things, including prayer. See the document here: Zimbabwe Statement
